I am a devoted Christian, well loved for 22 years by the most excellent representation of masculinity I have ever known, and mother to 5 children I hope I haven’t screwed up too much.

My life is filled to the brim with wifely duties, mothering (and hopefully discipling) our children,  homeschooling and related activities, cooking, and running, at which I am still very much a beginner. I’m also a fledgling seamstress as well as currently embarking on an entrepreneurial adventure with three of our 5 daughters.

When the sun sets and the day’s work is done, there really is nothing I enjoy more than grabbing a tome, putting on my glasses, and snuggling as close as possible to my beloved and reading.

I can’t wait to discuss genres, iconic characters, authors, and even children’s books in this space. The busyness and fast pace of post-modern life attempts to devour the slowness and relaxation required to truly delve into a good book.

I’m so very thankful that I was able to recapture the love of reading that I felt as a child before the pixels succeeded to take over every inch of available mental space.

If it is about reading, then I’m always down…plus I need to get with you about a few things at some point.

Put my first and last name together all one word at gmail dot com and there I’ll be. You are uniquely qualified for this. 🙂

Updated my About photo to reflect reality. The first photo on this page was 3 and 1/2 years old. That woman was 41. I took a very recent picture and put it side by side with the original picture and moved them both to the bottom of the page.

Our 9-year-old took the picture on the right very recently while we were doing school together. She likes taking “ussies” with her mama. An “ussie” is a selfie with two people in it, :).

The makeup free book worm, revealed. Right next to the made up me. Scary stuff, reality!
